Event Hosted By
Panhandle Autism Society (PAS)
PAS is a non-profit organization serving Idaho's five northern counties. We are a chapter of the Autism Society of America and a United Way Agency of Kootenai County. A local, volunteer Board of Directors runs our organization. Like many area non-profits, we have recently gone through financial challenges. We have streamlined the operation and are now more focused on what our mission is and should be. We offer support, education and advocacy through events such as: Autism 101 Workshops, Support groups, Respite care for parents, a Teens with Asperger's Group, and Training seminars for family members and professionals working with children and adults on the spectrum. It is one of our goals in 2012 to put iPads into the hands of non-verbal children and adults to further enhance their communication and quality of life.
